COVID-19 has changed the face of veterinary care, quite literally. Instead of being greeted with the usual warm, welcoming smile and handshake from the vet or nurse, clients are now seeing a face mask, rubber gloves, and not a handshake in sight.
That’s why at Clent Hills Vets, we want our clients to know that behind the masks, we’re still the same caring and compassionate people, dedicated to providing quality healthcare for their pets.
Our vets and nurses, who have decades of experience and knowledge between them, are still using the same state-of-the-art facilities and equipment pets are accustomed to, and our clients can still ask us the questions they need to. Even when using our telephone consultation service and pet-only consults when needed, our teams are here and ready to help.
Now that most restrictions have been lifted, we’re loving seeing more of our clients inside our practices. We’ve always believed in creating a strong bond with our clients and their pets, and we’re confident that will continue even with the changes that COVID-19 has brought upon us all.
As well as the masks covering our faces and theirs, there are perspex screens and distance between us. It’s taken a bit of getting used to, but thanks to the support and understanding of our clients, and the resilience and adaptability shown by our vets, nurse, and support staff, we’ve worked through these changes together.
We’ve been really impressed by how well pets have adjusted too, getting used to seeing the mask-covered faces, and being handled by vets and nurses always wearing gloves – at least everyone smells pretty much the same!
Hopefully, you’ll be able to see our smiles in the flesh one day soon, but for now, just know that we are smiling, #behindthemask

Speaking of ‘different looks’, we recently made a subtle change to our logo, from our historic ‘Veterinary Group’ name to the name our clients know and love – Clent Hills Vets. We felt now was the right time to make this change, as we begin to move forward with the ‘new norm’ of veterinary care.
