Clent Hills Vets in Hagley is getting a makeover

Amy Holloway

Head Vet Rod Stroud in Hagley SurgeryClent Hills Vets in Hagley has been open for almost 20 years, operating out of a converted house on the Kidderminster Road. You may remember a couple of years ago we updated our consultation rooms, well, we’re excited to tell you that we’re about to undergo a bigger, long-awaited-for transformation!

Works notice: Renovations will get underway on Monday 15th August (preparations starting the week before) and will last 2-3 weeks.

Our aim is to present a much-improved veterinary surgery during the week of September 5th. We will still be open (usual hours) during this period, however we envisage that our service will be a curtailed one, due to the works going on inside our building.

How will the makeover improve Clent Hills Vets Hagley?

Custer care staff caring for spaniel in hagley surgeryWe’re confident that we’ve always been able to offer a high quality service and level of care. However, we know that the interior layout of our building needs reimagining and modernising so that we can achieve a better workflow, improve the service we offer and the comfort and wellbeing of the animals we care for.

Over the years, improvements to our Hagley practice have been made piecemeal, working with the original layout of the building. This larger project enables us to take a fresh look at the internal layout and gives us the opportunity to use modern innovations and materials.

What improvements are being made?

The practical areas we’ll be renovating are our theatre, preparation and recovery areas and our patient accommodation. Animals that have undergone an operation will now be much closer to our nursing team when they are placed in our new recovery space.

New lighting will be installed to help our vets and nurses carry out their duties; wall, ceiling and floor coverings will all be replaced giving the whole area a fresher feel. Even though our practice will be more modern and efficient, we want to assure you that our friendly and welcoming atmosphere won’t change.

What pet services can you offer me at Hagley during this period?

Janet Chinnock and Chrissie Poke at Clent Hills vets in HagleyOur team of vets, nurses and customer care staff will be available as always to answer any pet health questions. We’ll still be providing vet and nurse consultations and fulfilling medication prescriptions. Due to the structural, interior fitting and decoration work going on, some procedures won’t be available at our Hagley branch during this short period.

Clent Hills Vets in Bromsgrove is less than 20 minutes away and our team there will be happy to carry out any procedures required. Pet health information and history is all centralised, so there won’t be any delay in caring for animals that usually attend our vets in Hagley.

Get in touch

If you’re concerned about your pet’s health during this period, we urge you to contact us as normal and we will advise which of our branches can see your pet promptly.

We look forward to showing you around properly in the Autumn, however in the meantime, we’ll be updating our Hagley Facebook page with our progress so give us a like!
