What to look out for

Rabbits are great grazers and eating grass is not only good for their digestive system, it also helps to keep their teeth in shape. Knowing how much they love greenery, when you’re out and about this summer you might be tempted to pick some wild plants to bring home for your rabbit to eat.

But while you may think something might make a tasty treat for your pet, even some common garden plants can be toxic to rabbits, including ivy, lilies and hydrangea.

If your rabbit eats something it shouldn’t, it may show symptoms such as seizures, loss of appetite or signs of intestinal inflammation, so it’s better to be on the safe side than have to make an emergency trip to Clent Hills Vets.

Our easy guide explains:

  • Seven commonly found plants that are poisonous to cats, dogs and rabbits
  • A description of the symptoms to look out for in case your pet has nibbled on something it shouldn’t have
  • What to do in an emergency
  • How these plants poison pets
  • What our vets will do to help your pet

Don’t wait until you’ve got a poorly pet to educate yourself about the most common harmful plants – get the guide now for peace of mind.
