Introducing your puppy to water can really enhance their socialisation and give them an exciting new experience.
Our hydrotherapists will work with you to safely introduce your puppy to water and help them master their swimming style. Not all dogs are natural swimmers!
Some puppies may not want to go in the water fully on their first go, but gradually we can build up their confidence until they’re ready to ‘take the plunge’.
Together, we can help your puppy become a confident and happy swimmer!
Please note, your puppy must be fully toilet trained to use our hydrotherapy pool.
Swimming is a non-weight bearing, all-over-body exercise, and a great way to get fit and improve body condition. We can also tailor in/out of water fitness & core strength exercise programmes to assist the canine athlete reach their potential.
Just because swimming is fun!
Swimming is an excellent way for overweight dogs to shed those extra pounds.
Our Centre offers a safe environment for dogs of all ages to practice their swimming capabilities. We can slowly help them build their confidence and learn how to use all their limbs in the water.
Water provides a great way to exercise young large/giant breed dogs and senior/geriatric pets whose joints are vulnerable to excessive land-based exercise.
Hydrotherapy is ideal for managing arthritis as the warm water will support your pet and provide a therapeutic experience, whilst giving them an all-over body workout.
Unfortunately we are not able to offer client swims due to insurance purposes. All our hydrotherapists are highly trained so that they can offer a safe experience for your pet. You’re welcome to watch your pet from the handy viewing platform.
We use toys in the pool for motivation but we do not allow pets to retrieve them as this can lead to secondary drowning.
Typically, hydrotherapy is used for dogs, but if you have another species that likes water and is recommended hydrotherapy by a vet, we would be happy to work with them.
Lovely vets and everyone is so helpful, calm and caring. Thank you and I would recommend you to others.Jack H, Best of Bromsgrove

Can’t speak highly enough of Clent Hills. My dog recently had a really bad tick infestation. I rang them at midnight as I was really concerned for my dog – they calmed me down and saw her at 1.00am! Wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else.Laura U, Best of Bromsgrove
A huge thank you to Sophie who de-matted our cat Ethel last week, she is a very happy cat now and you made a great job of her coatRachel, Facebook
Recently started taking my rabbit to Clent Hills Vets (Hagley) and was very pleased with the friendly staff and their professionalism.Julia Jones, Facebook
I cannot recommend Clent hills enough and will sing their praises to anyone who will listen….. The staff today brought my luna back from the brink of death….. I genuinely thought she was dead not moving or breathing no heartbeat…. I turn up in a right state and I’m taken straight through to one of the most dedicated vets I have ever known… luna was worked on for twenty minutes tirelessly Barbara and the nurse refused to give up on my girl and I will be forever grateful to you and your amazing team for bringing my girl back to me…. x xHannah Stokes, Facebook
Thank you so much to all the wonderful staff at Clent Hills Vets who have been fantastic with my Guinea Pig Martha over the last few weeks. Not only that but they have been very reassuring and not once dismissed my worry over her. She’s back home today after a procedure to flush her bladder and is currently munching away on her hay so is doing really well. See you all again in a few days for her post op checkup!Gemma Mallett, Facebook
