Animals’ healthcare needs change as they get older; so that we can provide the right type of care at each stage of their life, it’s helpful to understand how your pet behaves in their home environment and if their behaviour has changed recently.
During your pet’s ageing assessment our nurses will ask you to fill in a short questionnaire about any recent behavioural changes such as decreased mobility, excessive licking or chewing of joints, diarrhoea, hearing problems, lethargy, incontinence, skin lumps or bumps and weight change, to name a few.
Once assessed, our nursing team may recommend one or a combination of the following; referral to our arthritic clinic; referral to our weight & diet clinic; referral to our cat wellness clinic; appointment with one of our vets if they are showing any signs of illness; practical advice on how you can change your pet’s routine and environment to better suit their ageing needs.
We’d just like to say a very big ‘THANK YOU’ to all the staff at Clent Hills Bromsgrove and Hagley. You have brought Bob safely through 2 major operations in the last 3 years and have always been supportive to us humans in working through the decisions to be made, and offering the highest level of care and concern to Bob during his ops and his recovery period. Thank you everyone! We know that things remain uncertain for his longer-term, but he is now pain free and able to still enjoy everything that he has always enjoyed.
Our other 2 dogs have only visited for routine health checks/ Vaccinations etc., thankfully, but they always receive a warm welcome and are both graduates of the wonderful Puppy Parties 🙂.
Thank you from the whole family <3Jayne De Rooy, Facebook

A huge thank you to Sophie who de-matted our cat Ethel last week, she is a very happy cat now and you made a great job of her coat…. Can’t thank you enough for looking after her and sorting out her problem. Clent Hills are so professional and really put their clients first, both ladies on reception were very professional and helpful and the vet who admitted Ethel was lovely. Thanks again.Melissa Stokes - Blakedown, Facebook

Thank you all so much for caring for Storm today whilst he was in for his little op. Once again, 5* service all round xBeverley Stanton, Facebook
I first took my puppy storm here 8 years ago, the staff and vets make you feel individual and that your pet and you are special, their expertise is second to none, Rod the head vet is amazing, unfortunately around the age of five he diagnosed my German Shepherd as having pannus an immune system disease, that affects her eyes. I was mortified, the sole care and attention he has given her is exemplary. Clent Hills Vets ticks all the boxes, No.1 all the way, I highly recommend Clent hills vets, Hagley, to anyone who loves their pets the way we love ours, more than just a vets, that’s Clent hills all the way.Vivian Childe, Facebook
