Pets can bring us so much joy when they enter our lives and so much pain when they leave. Making the hard decision to give your pet a peaceful goodbye and end any suffering they may have been going through is often the kindest and bravest thing you can do for them.
If you’re finding it difficult to cope with the loss of a pet or are struggling to make the decision to let your pet go, you may need support outside of your close friends and family. Grief can present itself in many ways so it’s important to talk to someone and deal with how you are feeling.
We can offer you bereavement counselling with Victoria, who is a long-standing and much-loved member of our customer care team. You can talk to Victoria in person, or over the phone or by email if you would prefer.
Qualified counselling & support
Victoria is also a qualified counsellor and CBT therapist and above all a great listener. She has also undergone specific pet bereavement training with Compassion Understood and can offer you comfort and advice before and after you have said goodbye to your beloved pet.
Having worked at Clent Hills Vets for several years, Victoria is highly knowledgeable in pet health and treatment and can help you understand why such difficult decisions have to be made as a pet owner and help you come to terms with that decision by offering support and comfort.
Complimentary service for you & your family
This is a complimentary service available to all our clients and is offered at our Bromsgrove practice. If you have family members who are struggling with the loss of your pet, we can arrange some time with Victoria for them too. Children and elderly people especially can take bereavement very hard and talking it through can really help.
